Full Electric power steering rack removed from a 2025 BMW 1 Series F70 with just 353 miles on the clock. This is as close to a new part as used genuine gets, pulled from a car that had barely left the forecourt. Part number 5A8FEA8. B7 1.5-litre petrol application.
The rack is in excellent condition. There are minor marks consistent with very light handling and fitment, as shown in the photos, but nothing that affects function or fitment. At 353 miles, this part has essentially no wear.
Compatibility — please confirm before ordering: This rack is specific to the F70 generation 1 Series with the B7 1.5-litre petrol engine. The F70 is BMW's current generation 1 Series, launched from 2024 onwards, on a different platform to the F40 it replaced.
Electric power steering racks on modern BMWs communicate with the car's steering angle sensor, stability control system, and, in some cases, the driver assistance systems.
