Local Voluntary Scout Assistant, Volunteers Wanted & Offered in Hertford, Hertfordshire
The local groups of the scouting movement have been short of voluntary helpers, or assistants for some time now. Recently this situation has become critical. There are a number of reasons for the situation, the principal being the economy and cost of living. Many of our volunteers have had to concentrate their time into paying their bills.
We therefore need a small number of volunteers to cover several packs where, and when they may be needed. No formal experience is necessary as senior personnel will be giving advice and travelling around the relevant packs to ensure the business of scouting runs smoothly.
The area most needing volunteers are the Cub Scouts. Many of our former Cub scout workers are now utilized in the older scout packs in order that Award Scheme activities can still be run.
