Hi All I have a idea about setting up a community club where people with disabilities can come together and talk about their disability and experiences meeting new people I am thinking about doing it once a month I just wonder if anyone would be interested There would be to groups One for older teens and adults 16-30 aiming for the first meet up 28th March 4-5pm at Costa coffee or cox pippins And one for adults 30+ on the 14th April 3-4pm at Costa coffee or cox pippins I went to Cox pippins today in wallington to see if I could use the space for a hour or two they said that I could have it for free but they need to confirm this. Once I get a response from them I’ll update you all and the flyer x This club is free for everyone and there may be a small donation down the road If you are or want to attend please let me know either in the comments, message or email me. This club aims to help and support people with disabilities to meet other people with similar disabilities to them, Sharing experiences, stories and learn new skills from others, To discuss disability issues in the area, To do fun activities with others for example: games, art sessions and more, To help people with disabilities come together as one community and have fun, To make new friends and connect with others in the community and To help others to have a knowledge of disabilities and learn from each other.
