Finally, a book about walking the Camino which delves deeply and honestly into the spiritual journey itself... I send respect to others who have tried to do the same, but this is the first book I've found which concentrates more on spirituality and less on history and intellectualism.
Egan's writing style is easy and sophisticated at the same time, and her keen humour really balances out the moments of painful self-enquiry which those of us on spirtual paths know only too well. We really are in this journey together, and Egan's beautifully written insights highlight that underneath all unique histories, we are much the same as spiritual beings.
