Alice Harvey's career in the music business has flourished since her collaboration with Surrey based jazz pianist Eugene Portman. They not only gig throughout Kent - but they cover the entire UK (including Scotland and Wales). They frequently perform at weddings, private parties and corporate events in various line ups ranging from the duo format right up to a quintet. The duo is quite simply Alice on vocals and Eugene Portman on piano but this line up can be augmented to include Mike Porter-Ward on bass, Dave Trigwell on drums and Carlos Lopez on sax. The quintet format is in much demand as a jazz band for weddings and other events.
Alice has a fantastic voice for and she really knows how to put a song across. Her influences are wide and include Ella Fitzgerald, Nina Simone, Norah Jones, Peggy Lee and Dinah Washington.
