Kusadasi Shore Excursion 1

Ephesus-Virgin Mary Shrine-Artemision Temple


Meet at Kusadasi harbor and contiune to  Ephesus - Enter through the Magnesia Gate and begin a slow, downhill walk with your guide into the ruins of this Roman provincial capital. Your route takes you past the Odeon, the Celsus Library, the Temple of Hadrian, the Fountain of Trajan and the Great Theater. The theater had seating for 24,000, which was the site where it is believed St. Paul preached to the Ephesians, and is used today for a local spring festival.

House of the Virgin Mary - The Vatican has recognized this small house in the Solmissos Mountains as the final resting place of the Virgin Mary. A small shrine dedicated to St. Mary was found when the ruins of the house were first discovered.

The Temple of Artemis
, which had been built at first during the Archaic period, today it's known one of the Seven Wonders of Ancient World.

Izmir Shore Excursion 1

After meeting up your Guide at the port of  Izmir, Drive southward to Selcuk Town. Istanbul Shore Excursion 1

Upon your arrival to Istanbul our tour guide meets you at harbor and drive to historical peninsula with our new brand  tour transportation vehicle (in about 15 minutes). Hippodrome - The large, open square was once the site of a Roman circus that rivaled the Colosseum and could seat a quarter of a million spectators. Monuments on the site include the Snake Column from Delphi and an Egyptian obelisk taken from the Temple of Karnak at Luxor.
Blue Mosque – Six graceful minarets adorn the elegant mosque, one of the city’s most recognized landmarks. The superb interior is decorated with more than 20,000 blue Iznik tiles.
Egyptian Bazaar - It was built in 1664 as a part of the Yeni Cami complex which is located next to it. Misir in Turkish means Egypt and it is called the Egyptian Bazaar because the shopkeepers used to sell spices and herbs which were brought from or through Egypt.During the Ottoman period it was known as a place where shops sold only spices. Today there are only a few spice and herb specialists. The rest sell dried fruit, borek, basket work, jewelry, haberdashery, drapery and suchlike.
The bazaar has an "L" shape with six gates. Similar to the Grand Bazaar, it is open on weekdays and only half a day on Saturdays.

Grand Bazaar - Today,shop selling the same kind of merchandise tend to be congregated in their own street or in hans as this was originally  the Ottoman system. In addition to two bedestens there are also 13 hans in the grand bazaar.
The atmosphere of the Grand Bazaar is very interesting for tourist and has consequenty  become a very popular place for foreign visitors.
It is open during working hours on week days,closing earlier  on Saturdays,while on Sundays and religious holidays it is closed.

Marmaris Shore Excursion 1
Meet up with your local guide at the Marmaris Port on a journey southwards, towards the resort town of Dalyan. Here you will board your kayik (a local wooden boat with diesel motor) and travel to Caunos, an ancient site on the waters of the lake of Dalyan. Dock at the pier of ancient Caunos, and disembark for a tour of the fascinating Hellenistic settlement that lies there. Explore the very well-preserved theater, as well as the impressive Byzantine Basilica. After your tour of Caunos, return to your kayik for the ride back to Dalyan. Enjoy a delicious local lunch in a lovely lake-side restaurant, and then return to the the town for a visit to the local weaving school. Here you will have the opportunity to observe the local handicrafts, as well as chat with the locals.

Bodrum Shore Excursion 1
Meet with your guide and walk to Bodrum Castle, known as the Castle of St. John, it sits high on a rocky peninsula on the site of the original Carian settlement. Its towers rise majestically, dominating the harbour front. Built of green stones, masonry and marble slabs from the Mausoleum, the castle offers magnificent views from the ramparts to the town and its picturesque harbour, as well as your anchored Ship.
The Castle complex houses an excellent Museum of Underwater Archaeology where you will see the displays of findings from the world's oldest known shipwrecks' along Turkey's Turquoise Coast.
See the superb expositions in various sections of the Castle. Walk through the castle and see the displays of artifacts such as the Glass Wreck Hall, Late Bonze Age Shipwrecks, The Carian Princess Hall and the amphoras . In ancient times amphoras were used for transporting and storing wine and Olive Oil. Following your visit depart from the harbour by small coach, drive through the narrow streets of Bodrum to visit the Mausoleum. See the remains of the city walls and the amphitheater looking over the Harbour. Continue driving to Turgutreis and Akyarlar and glimpse the laced shores of Bodrum. We'll be able to see the Greek Island of Cos from our vista point and enjoy a delicious lunch at Gumusluk Cove, where the Med meets the Aegean before returning to your ship early this afternoon. Pergamum Shore Excursion Dikili Port 1
Meet at Dikili harbor and contiune visit to Pergamum Acropolis to see the steepest theater of the ancient world, the Temple of Trajan, then visit the Asklepion, the ancient hospital. Pergamum Acropolis - The finest altar (shrine) ever built is accepted as the Zeus Altar in Pergamum in 180 BC.  Most parts of the Zeus Altar is now in the Berlin Pergamum Museum.  The altar was in the Acropolis which is some 300 meters above the modern city of Bergama.  The ancient theater in the Acropolis is the steepest Hellenistic Theater in the world.  The theater has 80 rows with over 10.000 spectator capacity.  The theater lies on the hill in the Acropolis overlooking the modern city of Bergama and Gediz Valley.
Asklepion - Asclepieum, a sanctuary and a healing center built for Asclepieum, the God of healing, was the first hospital in the world and was built in the 4th century BC.  This large complex became an official center in the 3rd century BC and in the 2nd century Hadrian further developed the complex.  Close to the complex in Pergamum, Serapeum (Temple of Serapis-Turkish name Kizil Avlu), was built in the 2nd century AD during the king of Hadrian and was dedicated to the Gods of Egypt.  Because of the red bricks used in the construction, the building is also called the Red Court.

Antalya Shore Excursion 1

Nearby stand the remains of a basilica, agora and one of the largest aqueducts in Anatolia. Perge ancient city - Originally, a Hellenistic settlement, which later developed into a thriving Roman city, Perge is a historicist’s delight. Situated only 18 km from Antalya in the Pamphylion plain, Perge has a long legacy (almost from 1500 B.C.) to narrate with its initial inhabitants being the Hittites. Its importance also lies in the fact that the ruins of the Roman city provides a very complete picture of the past, thus making it archaeologically invaluable. However, even if you are wondering how an archaeologically fertile site could ever interest you, you should never miss a chance of visiting it. For Perge has much to offer for the vacationer as well, it has a unique blend of the exotic and the ancient.
