Read more about avoiding scams in classifieds Price: £25,000-40,000 offered Description: We are currently seeking to employ three full time Structural or Civil Engineers and a draftsperson to join our small consultancy practice situated in offices in Central and North West London. We are a friendly, rapidly expanding firm offering an excellent salary package including a contributory Group Pension Scheme and Healthcare Plan. In particular we are building up a new team comprising a Senior Chartered Engineer, two assistant/junior Engineers and a CAD Technician. The Senior Engineer should be of Chartered (MI Struct E or MICE) status with at least five years relevant experience in New Build and Refurbishment building contracts of up to £10m value. The Senior Engineer should have an excellent working knowledge of building structures in the London Area and should have exemplary written and oral communications skills. Management of a small group of engineers will also be necessary, reporting regularly at senior management level on the progress of the work. Liaison with other professionals and Clients on a regular basis will also be expected. The assistant/junior Engineers should be newly Chartered or near Chartered with some experience of the general design of building structures. Design will be in Steel, Concrete, Masonry, Timber and the like. The work will be designed under the supervision of a Senior Chartered Engineer. Some telephone and written communication with other members of the design team will be necessary from time to time. Opportunities for further training and site work will be available. The CAD Technician will be responsible for preparing detail drawings based on Architects' layouts and Engineers' calculations or sketches.
