It's travelled a couple of hundred miles at the most, and it's been very carefully looked-after. The Grasshopper is HPVelotechnik's all-round touring bike - it can be used for serious touring, or pared back a bit it's a brilliant commuter or day ride bike. it folds as well, in about 20 seconds, so it'll go in most car boots without folding the seats, and train travel and even bus travel is no problem. This one has overseat steering, DualDrive 24-speed gears, V-brakes, and of course full suspension. It's also got the Ergomesh seat - if you want the hardshell Bodylink seat instead, that's no problem - I'll swap seats for free. The rear carrier will take standard panniers, and it's got front and back LED lights, mudguards, a propstand, a cycle computer, and a mirror. It comes with all the manuals, of course, and even an unused bottle of touch-up paint. It's set up at the moment for someone about 5'7" tall, but will suit anyone between about 5'2" and 6'2" approx.

The bike is a 58cm pro fit black frame, which means that it has the slightly shorter head tube than the performance fit frames. This bike is in excellent condition although there are a few paint chips on the frame. I have shown all of them in the photos. They are not from falling or crashing. I was carrying the bike in the trunk of my car and the frame somehow rubbed up against the metal in the trunk. There is absolutely no structural problems with this bike whatsoever. It is completely stock with the exception of the Ksyrium SL Wheelset. Completely true....there is absolutly no wobble in these wheels. The components are all the Ice Gray Shimano Ultegra SL group. It has a double crankset (53-39) and a 11-25 cassette. It also has Bontrager Hard Case Tires which are a big improvement over the Race X Lites when it comes to flat resistance. The frame is all Carbon, even the swingarm and dropouts are carbon. The rear shock (made/engineered by DT Swiss) has a remote on the handlebars (no reaching down like other shocks) to control rear travel (3 positions- lockout, 90mm or 150mm of travel), this feature is absolutely incredible. On climbs you can lockout the shock to make the bike act like a hardtail, or open it completely for downhills. The bike has a custom OEM fork from Fox with adjustable travel of 110-130-150mm along with the new stiffer 15mm QR. In all my years of riding I never felt as confident or comfortable on a bike. I have only ridden this bike for about 50-75 miles (I'm the original owner and sole rider, no races or extreme riding). It is an absolutely incredible bike with countless upgrades. I have decided to get serious about racing and will be purchasing a high end race bike. Wife will not let me spend an additional 8k without getting rid of the Scott.
