The good: - Reasonably low mileage, should last a while - Surprisingly fresh appearance for such an old bike! - Has had a new Motad exhaust system fitted - Brand new rear tyre a few months ago - Brakes have been serviced recently - It had a new battery installed fairly recently - MOT until June 22nd - Taxed until 31/07/2013 - Starts every time, even in the cold. Good engine. - Very slim bike - can squeeze through gaps that even scooters struggle with. - Will throw in Newish Oxford lock and chain worth £40 for a fair offer The bad: - Unfortunately the centre stand rusted through, causing an unpleasant fall of the bike, resulting in a scratch on the engine (pictured) the loss of the little nob on the end of the front brake lever (Hasn't bothered me), the rubber grip on the throttle to get a bit chewed up (pictured) and a little scratch on the exhaust (pictured). Of course you can no longer use the centre stand. I haven't got round to removing it yet but I would suggest the new owner do so and just use the side stand. I haven't noticed anything wrong with the forks or handling as a result. - The chain needs to be replaced. - The gear lever doesn't have it's sur clip and can fall off. It hasn't happened to me for months, I'm not sure if that's because it's settled or because I altered my technique, so the bike is perfectly rideable, but you may need to get used to the gear lever. - Some kids ripped a piece of plastic that was under the ignition off, presumably in a futile attempt to hotwire it. (Pictured) - For some reason the lights on the dash which let you know when you're indicator is on don't flash anymore. Could be the bulbs went. - The seat seems to have come a bit loose a couple of weeks ago. I'm not sure if I'm just putting it on incorrectly or if something has changed about it. - The ignition set has had to be changed, so the keys to the petrol tank and seat are different to the keys for the ignition. PROBLEM: the selector in the gearbox is worn and there is a 'knack' to changing gear so I would recommend fitting a new selector. We do have someone with a trailer who can get her back to the SE of the UK (we can talk cost as part of the negotiations), or you will need to come down with a trailer to collect. The tyres, chain & sprockets have plenty of life left in them. The mileage appears very low for a bike of this age, I think from looking at the rubbers on the gear lever and handlebar grips that this bike has been used as a toy. No way has this bike been round the clock. The body work (plastics) are tatty and have been painted matt black which does not enhance the appearance of the bike. The fairing lowers and belly pan are missing and so is the "cockpit bubble" screen. It contains smart water to which I have kept the certificate as proof. I bought it last October with the intention of keeping it for a while but now need the money for moving out. As soon as I bought the quad I removed the engine and had it rebuilt to avoid any problems however it was imaculate so replaced gaskets and aslo adjusted the valve clearances - it now starts on the button straight away. I also fitted new swing arm bearings and shock linkage bearings. I have invoices from atv world for the new bearings, rear tyres, spider grips, engine gaskets, kill switch and steering column bushes. Since then it has only been run for 5 hours max. This bike is in good original condition, it starts on the button first time making it a very reliable cheap commuter. All the electrics on this motorcycle function well and as they should and the consumables are good. This motorcycle has benefitted from new tyres in recent months. Although this bike is sorn at the moment, tax is £16. The bike has been garaged so is in good condition although there is a small crack in the registration plate, there is also slight rubbing from bungee cord on the right hand side at rear of the motorcycle, however i would still consider this motorcycle to be well worth the money.
