Mihara the first is the Sai-jo saku of Koto era (There are Kanemoto the first and two generation Kanemoto as Saijo-saku in this age. Mihara and Kanemoto is the highest katana of Koto period.).
There are actually a lot of masterpieces in Mihara katanas. Signed Mihara is very rare. Most of the sword that Mihara produced is Mumei. And It is said that Mumei is more beautiful than Signed. A lot of Signed that the state is good is specified for the national treasure. So it is difficult for us to obtain it.

Habaki is beautiful straight with tension. This is simple, earnest Koto katana.
