The Riding Simulator is a mechanical horse that has been designed to simulate the horse's traditional gaits of walk, trot and canter, not only this but the rider can use its built in sensors to make upwards transitions when applying the correct leg aids and down wards transitions using the aids.
The simulator provides the rider with the opportunity to perfect their position, in both walk, trot and canter, improve flexibility and suppleness and highlights problem areas such as an insecure lower leg, restrictive hand, lack of straightness or uneven weight on your seat bones whilst allowing repetitive corrective measures that would be unfair to practice on a real horse.
People sometimes ask why they would use a simulator when they could ride their own horse??
The answer i think is that unless you are aware and constantly in control of what every part of your bodys doing while your riding, you and your horse are going to find it hard to reach your potenial or even an understanding!! The simulator can help you to work on this as the sessions consentrate on you and not the horse, its amazing to see how different a horse goes once the rider gets it right!
Please phone to arrange a session or private hire, other instructors, adults and children welcome (in all weather)!!
