The ultimate ghost hunting company Ghostly Endeavours have put together a spectacular night of ghost hunting. Some details of Foxdenton Hall are below for your information
FOXDENTON HALL
Ghostly Endeavours invite you to this fascinating Overnight Ghost Hunt at Foxdenton Hall
The Foxdenton Heritage started in the early 1400's when Elizabeth Radcliffe married her cousin Robert Radcliffe and they built the first Foxdenton Hall as their home. William Radcliffe, the "Foxdenton Redhead", rebuilt the Hall in 1620. He was killed together with his son and heir, Robert fighting for his country at the Battle of Edge hill in 1642, and it was Alexander (Radclyffe) who was responsible for rebuilding the hall in 1700 as it is seen today. The last of the Radclyffe's was Charles Robert Eustace who died in 1953 and brought to an end the long line of Radclyffe’s, who had lived in Foxdenton Hall.
During the turbulent times of the Civil Wars, when the Cavaliers were very vulnerable, it would have been expedient to have a quick means of escape, and it was widely rumoured that Foxdenton had a tunnel from Foxdenton to Chadderton Hall.
This was never really proved except when Chadderton Council were renovating the Hall in 1965 and they believe to have found this secret tunnel hidden and so secretive for such a long time.
This fascinating building with its great mixture of History and mystery is worthy of an Overnight Ghost Hunt and Paranormal investigation. Ghostly Endeavours will take you on a guided historical tour of the Hall and its grounds easing you into an era long since gone. We may experience activity in the cellar notorious for its shadows and cold spots, the Main Hall has provided many visitors with strange feelings and many claim to have heard children playing in this part of the house. Perhaps the Blue room where strange smells have appeared and fluctuations in temperature, then we have the death of a person which occurred at the stairs facing the room a long time ago, this person may have fallen over the banister by accident…or were they pushed?
This Overnight Ghost Hunt by Ghostly Endeavours will be with the full team and mediums in support of you, this paranormal investigation will leave you with an everlasting memory of this unique night’s entertainment. Never been on a ghost hunt before? Thats OK, we will guide you every step of the way and make your ghost hunting experience the experience of a lifetime.
