Modeled after artist Ralph McQuarrie's original concept illustrations for the much loved droids R2-D2 and C-3PO, these figures celebrate the 30-year legacy of the Star Wars saga as well as the creative, guiding vision of McQuarrie, whose drawings helped George Lucas convince studio directors to back the very first Star Wars movie.

McQuarrie's first painting of the droids was one of five pieces of art shown to the Twentieth Century Fox board of directors prior to their approving the initial budget for what was then called "The Star Wars".

Exclusive to the 2007 Celebration Europe event in London and produced in limited quantities, this product is packaged with a unique Celebration Europe collectors coin, a protective clamshell collectors case and features unique Celebration Europe packaging.

Now deleted, like all Celebration Europe Exclusive  items this collectable is becoming much sought-after and hard to find.
