Antique Bureau / Lead lined glass display case

  Location:   - Bedfordshire

Beautiful light oak bureau / bookcase / display case not sure of age, possibly circa 1950's. When I brought it I was told it was from the Deco period but i'm not sure. Reluctant sale due to move - no space at new house unfortunately.

Excellent condition considering age, very sturdy and well built - nothing that a little TLC could not fix see pictures. (a few scratches etc).

The Top is a lead lined glass display case that can be seperate from the bureau/cupboard bottom. It has 2 original shelves, a working lock with original key and the glass also seems to be original. Size = 35.5 inches across by 36 inches high by 10 inches deep.

The bottom consists of a bureau, draw and cupboard...

Bureau with working lock, key the same key used for the display case. Good condition inlaid leather drop down, hinges etc all seem original and in good working order. Pigeon holes unfortunately are not original - they had been replaced when I brought it.

The draw underneath the bureau - nice chunky handles, all original wood as far as I can tell. Draw is 4.5 inches high

Cupboard - nice and big. Should have a shelf but this was missing when I brought it, apart from that good condition, 2 doors both with original hinges etc.

Size of bottom section (bureau, draw and cupboard) - 41 inches high including feet, 36 inches across by 10.5 inches deep at smallest point and 18.5 inches deep at biggest point.
