| Greek part time musicians wanted for a project. Initially I am looking for a Greek guitarist, a bouzouki player , keyboard player, clarino player. In an ideal situation we welcome an accordion player drummer, and a tympani. We also looking for a Greek female singer who’s able to sing LAIKA REBETIKA (Kazantzidis, Dionysiou, Belou vamvakaris)and DIMOTIKA (Nisiotika hpirotika Kritika) songs The project is to create a Greek folklore music group and be able to perform live for events in UK and Greece. The main repertoire will be old rebetika songs and pre 1970s Greek laika songs. Eventually we should be able to play famous DIMOTIKA songs. This idea has already started in Greece and there few similar music groups in Greece. If all musicians get together in UK and form a good REPERTORIO there is a demand all over Europe Greece USA Canada and Australia for concerts. You do not have to be excellent or brilliant musician as long as you can play your selected musical instrument. Two bouzouki players will be the ideal situation. We can have regular meetings and practice (PROVES). This idea is a money and glory spinning idea and the opportunity to become famous within the Greek community and beyond this.
