Dhol Player

Mohabbatein Dance Academy, specialists in Folk Dance and Music seek professional Two Dhol Players for their dance classes.  The Dhol Players must:

·        Be able to play the traditional base Dhol for the Academy’s dance students

·        Attend all scheduled classes to aid the students in their dance classes

·        Guide students in understanding the music beat behind the traditional Bhangra dance steps

·        Assist dance teachers in playing the Dhol according to their dance class

·        Be flexible in working hours to attend with students in functions and performances held around the UK and if necessary abroad

Applications must be made by 22 August 2006.

The prospective employees must also acquire skills in being innovative in creating new techniques of Dhol playing, good communication skills with people from all backgrounds, good teamwork skills, and flexibility in taking instructions from various sources of people within the Company.

In addition, Asli Bahaaran Punjab Dian, Folk Dance (Bhangra) Performers require four traditional Folk Dancers to enhance the performance of their Company.  They must;

·        Have at least one year experience/professional training in Bhangra

·        Be flexible in working all hours to rehearse for pre-planned performances

·        Guide the UK students in traditional Bhangra techniques

Perks include; an annual salary of £20,500, traditional dancewear and accommodation allowance and 20 days paid leave in any one year
