A position has become available within a C & F team, They are looking for a particularly enthusiastic and friendly Qualified Social Worker to join their Child Protection Team. This role requires knowledge of Section.47, experience in court work and general Child Protection experience. This is a fun and vibrant team and as such requires a Social Worker with a big personality! High levels of support and weekly supervision will be provided by the manager.
Responsibilities are:
· To carry out Initial Assessments as per national guidelines within prescribed timescales (7 working days) and to formulate initial plans.
· To be involved in Child Protection (S47) investigations.
· To complete all required documentation in respect of processes to which the child is subject, e.g. Care Proceedings, Child Protection Proceedings and to ensure the relevant file is complete and in good order.
· To complete S7 and S37 reports for court processes. To work with family members and relevant agencies.
· To ensure ownership of plans and strong channels of communication.
· To contribute to relevant processes to ensure accurate records are upheld and to contribute to the development of information systems for the purposes of auditing.
