A position has become available within a C & F team, They are looking for a particularly enthusiastic and friendly Qualified Social Worker to join their Children and Families Team. This role is particularly diverse and covers all aspects of C & F. You will gain exposure within Referral & Assessment, Children in Need and LAC cases. Preferably you will have experience in each of these areas, or be very willing to add new skills to your portfolio. This is a fun and vibrant team and as such requires a Social Worker with a big personality! High levels of support and weekly supervision will be provided by the manager.
The role requires a highly motivated, versatile individual to interview as soon as possible.
The main duties and responsibilities of this post will be: to manage a caseload determined by the Team Manager, to undertake work alone and with others on complex child related cases, to participate in a duty system, to participate in regular supervision, to participate in team meetings, to keep case recordings accurate and up to date in a factual and informative style, to ensure all financial transactions are fully written up and accounted for, to work in accordance with the Council’s Equal Opportunities statement, to work in collaboration with staff in other statutory and voluntary agencies, to contribute to the development of the work of the Department (e.g. participation in working parties), to attend case conferences and represent the Department at formal meetings, courts, etc.
GSCC registration and recent CRB check are essential.
