I have for sale 6 month old Buff Orpington white and brown ones, free range chickens who have been reared on a farm . I will sell as a trio or seperately. I have got approx 30 cocks and hens. they have just started to lay and the breed lay approximately between 110 and 160 eggs a year, they do not stop laying in the winter.
Some characteristics of an Orpington are:
- Heavy (7 to 10 pounds),
- Soft, profuse feathering, which almost hides the legs of the bird,
- Curvy shape with a short back and U-shaped underline,
- A small head with a small comb.
- Large and usually tame.
£17 each or a trio (1 cock and 2 hens) for £50.
They are an original English breed. Large heavy butterscotch coloured fluffy hens; extremely docile and constantly chatting to one another. Large creamy white eggs.
