The vast vast majority of Hyacinth Macaw adverts are scams, in fact I've only EVER seen one genuine one in several years and that was for £8,900.
The same can be said for egg sales. There are many reasons why eggs are a silly way to go about buying a parrot anyway (how are you going to incubate them in transport, how can you tell they are fertile..and you can't guarantee they will hatch even if they are)...and ultimately unless you are VERY experienced at hand rearing the chances are you will unwittingly fail during the intensive 3 months feeding schedule!
A lot of the scams rely on you sending "transport fees" in advance for a bird that simply doens't exist. The last genuine sale in UK was for nearly £9,000 so why would they want to let you "adopt" one for free, or even £3,000...or ANY less? Would you?
If ANY advett on here seems to good to be true, it generally is. Although this is a good site, there are too many scammers and conmen advertising on here. I'd go as far as to say there are as many scams as there are real ads!
If you feel that you are being scammed, want to check with me or simply want to speak to REAL breeders then get in touch. I really don't mind if you don't want to buy from me, I always manage to sell all of my birds anyway.
You can call me on either 01228 510022 or 07800 575050. You can also email to info@dentonparrots.co.uk too.
Thanks, Carl. |
