Position This position will focus on providing financial support services of the Europe and North Sea region. This position will focus on ensuring the accuracy of the financial books and records, developing a strong internal control environment, and providing financial support services to Area Operations personnel, Operations Management, and HQ personnel.
Job Purpose: To be responsible for the financial integrity of the Europe Area financial books and records. To ensure corporate financial reporting deadlines are met, and that the information supplied accurately reflects the Area’s operations.
Report weekly, monthly and quarterly financial analyses to area management and division HQ Prepare monthly Tempo and Short Term Plans.
To ensure compliance with all the companies policies and procedures and local legislation.
To ensure internal and external audits results are properly stated and appropriate management follow up is taken.
To monitor and improve the effectiveness of internal controls within the area.
To ensure employees are adequately trained for FCPA compliance.
To travel when necessary in support of statutory and operational requirements. Handle special projects as assigned Develop a business partnership with Operations Management by identifying and supplying financial support functions as required. Key Responsibilities: To gather information from varied sources and provide clarity in a concise message to management.
Skill/Requirements: Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge of finance principles and practices. SAP experience. Good PC skills – particularly strong Excel. Fluent in English, other European language knowledge is an advantage. Ability to handle multiple activities successfully. Detail oriented.
Ability to build an effective team with or without positional power. Strong analytical skills. Strong customer focus. Willingness to relocate a requirement for long term advancement. Experienced at working to deadlines. Excellent communication skills. ·Familiar with SOX 404 and FCPA legislation and control processes.
Education, Experience and Training:
Essential Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Finance, Economics or Accounting or equivalent preferable Experience in Oil & Gas service company, 5years + previous experience in a similar role.
