| Akela 38ft narrow boat. 1.5 British Leyland Diesel engine and PRM 101 2:1 gearbox, Small foredeck with hatch to anchor locker. Wood panelled saloon with small fixed settee, solid fuel stove with fitted chimney. Galley with laminate worktops, inset stainless steel sink and drainer, storage and electric fridge under. Built in 4 burner gas cooker with grill and oven, wall bracket for microwave cooker. Hot and cold water. Shower compartment to starboard with shower tray, vanity unit containing calorifier, and portable chemical toilet. Cabin with fixed double bed with storage under and over. Entrance with storage, engine controls and a 600W 12v to 230v inverter. up steps to large rear deck with engine under. Was completely rewired in 2002 and had a stainless steel water tank fitted. 2003 was replumbed and all gas pipe work was replaced, new batteries and alternator (most reciepts and survey reports from 2002 available. In 2009 Akela was fully repainted and bitumened along with new anodes fitted. |
